Grossmont wins on the road at Palomar 81 – 79
It's a team game, and the Griffins are pretty balanced on both ends of the floor. Tonight was no different, nine players scored, and nine players rebounded. As a team, Grossmont held Palomar to 8 points below their season average and held them to 42% from the field and 24% from the three-point line. Freshman Trevor Krugh led all players with 10 rebounds, Zeid Salem 18 pts, Tre Stonebraker 13 pts, Anthony Reavis 15 points and 7 rebounds. The difference tonight was that we had point guard Lorenzo Martinez 20 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, and he made the last three Griffin baskets. A layup with an "and one", another layup facing the wrong basket (worthy of ESPN Top Ten) and the game winner an under handed flip at the buzzer to clinch the win.
GO GRIFFINS!!!
