Bio

Coach Andrew is originally from Las Vegas, but made the move to San Diego for school and work. He attended and played at Grossmont out of high school in 2019, before transferring to San Diego State in the fall of 2021 to complete his Bachelor's degree and compete on their club team.

Andrew began coaching at Grossmont in 2023 as an assistant before taking the program over as head coach in 2025. Having the background in both coaching and playing at the junior college level, he has the tools to understand what it takes to succeed at the Junior College level and transfer to the next level. He also coached boys briefly at East County Volleyball Club in 2025 and at his alma mater, Centennial High School in 2021, leading the team to a state championship final.

As a player, during his time at San Diego State, he led SDSU as their setter to a top 5 finish in the nation in 2023 and a top 10 finish in the nation in 2024. Named tournament MVP for the Las Vegas Classic in 2024, along with 2 all-tournament selections. Currently competing semi-professionally in the VLA for Team SD Wave and Team IX in AZ, along with tournaments in the CBVA for beach volleyball. In High school, he finished his senior year leading the state of Nevada and finishing top 5 in the nation for assists (1,142), achieving first team all-state honors and an all-tournament team selection. Andrew played club for Vegas Xtreme Volleyball Club, finishing 2nd in the nation in 2019, also selected to the all-tournament team for USA Volleyball. He was a part of the 2018 Nevada 4A State Championship team at Centennial, finishing the season 40-5.

Andrew graduated from San Diego State in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, along with a Physical Education Teaching Credential from SDSU in 2025. He is currently in the process of obtaining his Master's in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.
