Grossmont College 2025 Season Wrap-Up
As the Softball season comes to a close we can reflect on the growth of the program since returning last spring. To highlight some of our Lady Griffin Softball accolades we can look to some of the leaders who made an impact this year.
What a career for Gracie Johnston! She had special year in 2025 racking up 114 strikeouts(K). Over the span of the 2024 and 2025 seasons at Grossmont, Gracie accumulated 210K's! Gracie pitched 239 innings, struck out 210 batters, which is 6.15 K's per 7 innings, had a career ERA of 4.25, and a WHIP of 1.63. She set the tone for future Griffin pitchers to aspire to!
Kate's 2025 season will be one to remember as she was the teams Triple Crown winner. She led the team in Batting AVG with .391, led the team with 37 RBI, and led the team with 5 HR. Becoming a Triple Crown winner is not an easy accomplishment, as Kate's season will now be a benchmark for Griffin softball moving forward.
2025 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Awards
The 2025 season was another stepping stone for the Griffins as they landed 5 players who took home Honorable Mention Awards. Congratulations to: Mariah Mata, Kate Manes, Kaitlyn Ours, Gracie Johnston, and Katelynne Parent. These 5 sophomores had solid seasons and being recognized by their opponents is great way to end their Grossmont College careers. Thank you ladies!
We look to build on our success next year with the returning of some of our current players and the additions of some outstanding prospects. Look out for us next season. Go Griffin!
